Product description:
The Bird That Flew Away And Left Time Behind Installation was made of 14 fish lamps, sand and feathers for the ‘’ Live Space’’ exhibition at The Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen in 2001 .
An experience with glowing fish and feathers. Right up to the modern age, there has been a flourishing dried cod industry in Iceland. In the summer, thousands of fish are hung up in the open air to dry in special timber constructions. However, the drying process must compete with flies and birds, but in the autumn, the birds fly south and leave the fish and their own feathers behind them.
